About the role

**Hear from the Hiring Manager**
- “We are looking for a motivated person to work within a professional security team overseeing the personnel security, vetting and access control responsibilities for Berkeley Site and to provide admin support to the security section when required._

**Key Deliverables**
- Complete ID verifications on staff and contractors who wish to work at Berkeley Site.
- Ensure returned Vetting Packs are complete and that all relevant related documents are available.
- Prepare and monitor site access control procedures in accordance with the Site Security Plan (SSP) and Site Security Instructions (SAI’s) and ONR requirements.
- Ensure the Daily Diary is populated and in place at the gatehouse and that all related Visitor forms are archived to ensure compliance.
- Provide Admin support to the Security Management Team when required to do so.
- Be able to engage with external stakeholders for auditing and evidencing as required for Personnel Security requirements.

**Training**

The post holder will be required to complete training as defined in Common Training Profiles, supplemented by Site Specific Training Profiles when required.

**Authorisations**

The post holder may be required to achieve various authorisations in order to carry out the full scope of the role. The requirements for specific authorisations are specified in Common Authorisation Instructions.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Educated to NQF level 3/NVQ Level 3, or equivalent standard, or equivalent demonstrable administration experience (essential).
- Working knowledge of databases /IT office systems (desirable).
- Understanding of vetting procedures and NSV requirements (desirable).

**Additional Information**

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
