The Role:
A position has become available for an experienced Driver Dispatcher / Driver Controller to join our clients UK Transport team.
What you'll be doing:

- Allocations of collections and deliveries to UK driving team - arranging the transport of time critical and temperature controlled pharmaceutical shipments
- Route planning as efficiently as possible, as well as arranging ad-hoc changes as required
- Communicating to drivers the relevant information appropriate to the consignment
- Preparation of Specialist packaging and temperature controlled consignments which include the filling of Liquid nitrogen dry shippers
- Refurbishment of packaging and general warehouse duties
- Downloading and processing of temperature control data
What your background should look like
- At least 3 years of driver dispatch/controlling/transport planning experience
- Previous experience in freight or courier industry - ideally working with temperature controlled, time sensitive deliveries such as pharmaceuticals
- Extensive knowledge of the London and home countries, with a good general knowledge of the UK road network
- Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure
- Well developed prioritisation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent problem solving skills
The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, between the hours of 04:00 and 22:00 on a rotation basis, with overtime available both on weekends and weekdays.
