Independent Sector Imaging Chaperone

**Location**: Felixstowe Hospital

**Hours**: Long days, 8am-7pm. Shifts available weekdays and weekends

**Salary**: £12.00 an hour

We are seeking Independent Sector Imaging Chaperones to provide compassionate care and support to patients having diagnostic images in a hospital setting. This is an in person post.

**Applicants should meet the following criteria**:

- Be caring and empathetic.
- To be an enthusiastic person to join our team, where our purpose is to deliver seamless, high quality, safe healthcare for all.
- A general healthcare background / training; clinical chaperone experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
- Demonstratable right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS Certification.
- NHS Experience preferred but not essential.
- Be able to commute to Felixstowe Hospital
- Be able to provide 2 satisfactory professional references

**Duties of this role include**:

- To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, aiding the imaging team to provide a consistent, high-quality service to all patients and visitors.
- Assist patients throughout their time within the department.
- Assisting the imaging team when required with IT system work.
- Practice good clinical safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
- Attend clinical examinations within the imaging department for the purposes of chaperoning patients.

All imaging chaperone assistants are expected to contribute to the smooth running of the clinical service as required; in particular, to comply with the policies and procedures of the Trust within which they are working.
