About Us:
SEND Inclusion Support are currently recruiting a Career Lead for a permanent contract within one of our partner SEND schools located in Cheshire. The school caters for students aged 2 - 19 providing outstanding education for children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Complex Needs.

Learners are prepared for life by prioritising the skills required to meet their full potential. Through their specialist curriculum, these children and young people are empowered with a strong emphasis on the development of individual communication strategies. This team provides enriching and safe environments where all pupils are encouraged to develop independence and promote wellbeing for a happy and fulfilled future.

**What We're Looking For**:

- A relevant degree or professional qualification in careers guidance, education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in careers education, ideally within an SEND context.
- A strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by students with SEND.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including students, parents, educators, and employers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage a robust careers guidance programme for students with SEND.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external partners to create individualised career plans for students.
- Provide one-on-one careers advice and guidance to students.
- Organise and coordinate work experience opportunities, internships, and employer engagement activities.
- Deliver workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on careers education and the transition process.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the careers programme.
- Advocate for the needs and potential of students with SEND within the school and wider community.
