**Trainee Timber Frame Estimator**

Alexander Timber Design Ltd. Is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer. We are a growing and expanding business therefore are recruiting to further develop our team. Our clients range from private individuals to the most prestigious national building and construction companies.

Reporting to the Head of Timber Frame the Trainee Timber Frame Estimator will play a key part in the process from estimating to manufacturing and would ideally have some estimating experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Review incoming inquiries and tenders
- Assist in the prioritisation of quotes
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings for pricing
- Prepare material take-offs and bill of quantities
- Create estimates and cost plans
- Prepare and submit quotes and tenders
- Interact with customers, responding to queries
- Maintain a database off raw material costs

**Skills Profile**
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD preferred
- Versatile, high degree of accuracy, working to tight deadlines, and organized
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, written and presentational skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with people internally and externally
- A positive and flexible attitude and self-starting ability

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Troon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- estimating: 1 year (preferred)
