We are looking to fill 2 roles for a Full Time & Part Time Driver/Collections Operative to join our team. Northamptonshire Wood Recycling CIC is a community interest company & social enterprise. We work to reduce the amount of really useful wood entering the waste stream whilst offering work experience, volunteering and employment to long term unemployed. We do this by offering local businesses and public a low cost alternative to skip hire.

You will visit our customer to collect wood, sorting and processing the wood before it goes into our shop or workshop. You will need to speak to site agents and other customers on a daily basis, arranging the collections with them. You will need to be able to use computer tablets and software.

We cover a large area, all of Northants, Milton Keynes and Bedford so there is a lot of driving involved. Experience of driving 3.5 tonne vans is essential. There will be the opportunity for overtime, Saturday deliveries and extra days during the week.

We are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, flexible, organised and keen to learn more about recycling. Has a positive attitude and is happy to work in a team or alone. Preferably someone who shares our love of wood and wants to help make a difference.

Applicants need to:

- Have experience of driving for 3 years or more
- Be able to use some basic hand tools.
- Be able to complete the required paperwork/use a tablet
- Work independently whilst supervising volunteers.
- Able to work safely.
- Able to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Over 25 for insurance with no points on your licence

Preferably:

- Have an interest in wood or woodwork
