As we continue to grow and enhance our operations, we are seeking a dedicated HSEQ Advisor to join our team. This role will report directly to the HSEQ Manager and play a crucial part in supporting our mission by ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance. The position is based in our head office in Preston with occasional travel to other sites in the UK as needed.

**Role Summary**:
The HSEQ Advisor will be instrumental in assisting with the development, implementing, and monitoring company policies, procedures, and systems that promote a safe and healthy working environment. This role requires a proactive approach to prevent incidents, comply with legislation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all operational areas.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and improving HSEQ management systems
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards
- Provide HSEQ guidance and support to operational teams, promoting best practices and risk management
- Monitor HSEQ training programs of staff at all levels
- Deliver internal training programs including inductions to staff at all levels
- Assist in the Investigation of incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare HSEQ reports on request for management teams
- Keep abreast of new legislation, industry best practices, and developments in health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS or NEBOSH or working towards a NEBOSH qualification
- Proven experience in a similar role within the utilities, construction, or civil engineering sectors
- A thorough understanding of HSEQ legislation and best practices or the appetite to be trained further as this role develops
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organisation

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

- Utilities/Civil Engineering: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
