Tradewind are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support two students with ASD in Barnet. This role is to start from the 20th of March and will be on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year, with thepotential for a permanent contract thereafter.

The school is a 3-form entry school and provides substantial training for staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to support students with additional needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD
- Implement and support the delivery of the students' individual education plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to ensure the students' needs are met
- Monitor and record the students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required
- Ensure the students' wellbeing and safety is maintained at all times

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working with children or young people with ASD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
