Description
- Technical Support Technician qualification.
Based in Trimdon, Co. Durham, DLI Engineering is looking to strengthen its Quality Department by recruiting Apprentice for their Inspection Department. DLI is a Subcontract, high end precision engineering company whose customer base is formed out of the Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Filtration Industries, coupled with some specialist engineering projects.
Working with the Inspection Team you will also gain a full understanding of the manufacturing process and an understanding of the inspection process. The aspects of inspection that you will be educated in include:
Subcontract QA Inspection
Programming and operating CMM Machines
Completing First Article Inspection Reports
Completing in process and final inspections
Management of calibration systems
As most of the work is bespoke and a high percentage one offs and small batch runs, this is an interesting and varied position that requires someone to have an organised and calm approach to problem solving and working with a small team of Inspectors.
Entry requirements
GCSE Grade 4/C English & Mathematics desirable.
Training to be provided
One day a week at New College Durham for training.
