**Responsibilities of the Distiller;**
- The business is in the throws of securing its new large distillery and the Distiller will play a key role on fit out decisions including investment in equipment.
- Review of refine our recipe based on trade and consumer feedback to support the evolution of the product.
- Be involved in the day to day production of the spirit supporting what will be the growing demand through our D2C, D2T and wholesale sales channels.
- Support the accurate recording of information relating to the production and storage of the spirit to ensure accurate submissions to HMRC.
- Defining and managing processes to ensure the operation is as efficient as possible.
- Have a deep understanding of the science of the distillation process, importantly we don’t want someone to just run a pre-defined manufacturing process but understand it well enough to make recommendations on how we can enhance our production as the business grows.
- Be an advocate of the brand, sharing insights with our customers and partners around how we are working to become the “go to” British rum brand.
- Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and food safety. The distiller they are working to the highest standards.
- Consider potential future products including ageing our rum. Whilst our core product is a relatively fast turnaround white rum, we want to consider future aged product opportunities.

**Experience;**
- Previous distillery experience, ideally as a distiller.
- Preferable management experience, the plan is to build a team around this new Distiller role to support the growth of the business.
- Quality assurance experience.
- Experience managing upstream reporting to HMRC.
- Understanding of how the effectively age spirit and able to put together a strategy around this.
- Experience in working with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders representing what will become the distillery team.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
