Carer for Family Member

Private employer looking to recruit a part-time female Personal Assistant to support a 37 year old woman with various mental heath illnesses, who may come across very well, but inside is usually in pieces. Living in a rural area of Bankfoot, Perthshire.

3 Hours per week - Monday (any 3hrs before 5pm)
- have a brief understanding of mental health
- be easy to talk to and a good listener.
- be willing to attend appointments and be a 2nd voice when needed
- be able to deal with health professionals
- be non-judgemental
- respect confidentiality
- trustworthy and reliable
- be able to work with the women in a non-patronising and respectful way
- shouldn't have an overpowering personality

Clean driver’s licence and car essential due to location.

Hourly rate: £12.42

Must be part of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme or willing to become part of the scheme.

We have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 9 hens and 4 ducks so it is definitely a pet loving person needed.

We are looking for someone who drives due to location, however would be put on our car insurance for use while with me. Please note the car is an automatic. I had my driving licence taken off me because of my health and live rurally.

I have various mental health problems and they result in me feeling suicidal, anxious or just unsettled. I also struggle with my strong emotions which can lead to me getting very upset. I may not display outwardly how I actually am feeling that's why its important for someone who is a good listener and willing to chat and try to understand me. Ideally looking for someone who can come up with different ideas of things to do if needed would be great. Collecting medication with me would be most Mondays plus sometimes walks.

Physically I am well/able, therefore not that kind of caring role.

We are looking for someone while my husband is at work. Maybe go out for tea and cake (while out I pay for the food), shops, walking our dogs, medical appointments etc or stay in (chatting, teaching new crafty things). Medication collection is most Mondays.
