Maintenance Engineer

**Commutable from: Ludlow, Tenbury Wells, Leominster, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Welshpool, Newtown.**

**Salary:£32,000 -£39,200 (including 4on4off shift allowance) + overtime + very good benefits**

**Suitable for: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Maintenance Fitter, Facilities Engineer, Maintenance Technician.**

**The Role**

You will be tasked with carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities, working in conjunction with other maintenance members to ensure constant running of all plant equipment and facility effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:
Provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance to manufacturing machinery & the facilities

Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make modifications

Work with the maintenance manager to identify areas for improvement

Identify continuous improvement actions to machinery and reduce production down time

Update and maintain internal database to record any fault issues and reordering of parts and products within the engineering department

Supervise and support the work of external contractors

**The Person**

Apprentice trained or relevant experience

Proven track record of mechanical and or electrical maintenance

Demonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process

Good diagnostic skills

You will have strong attention to detail, ability to work with mínimal supervision including planning of own workload
