**About you**:
We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral research fellow to undertake research in support of work led by Co-I Dr Helen Pineo examining the lived experience of permitted development housing and health. The post holder will also support the implementation and dissemination of the project more generally as required. The post is to start as soon as possible and is funded until 28 February 2026 in the first instance. Duties and responsibilities - To review relevant literature and help develop the detailed empirical research plan - To undertake workshops with residents and those with experience of housing precarity to help co-produce the empirical research plan and analysis - To support ethical approval for the research and help ensure compliance with ethical and data protection requirements - To plan, administer and analyse a large-scale household survey including through descriptive statistics and regression analysis of quantitative data - To undertake interviews with permitted development housing residents across England, then analyse qualitative interview data - To prepare and present research findings and support project report drafting - To contribute to the drafting and submitting of papers to appropriate peer reviewed journals - To support project dissemination including through participating in and presenting at workshops, meetings, seminars and conferences - To support the other project post-doctoral research fellows to ensure the success of the project as a whole, including identification of the addresses of permitted development housing and understanding their environmental characteristics - The post holder will carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager - The post holder will actively follow UCL policies such as Equal Opportunities and Race Equality policies and Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
