Our Client specialises in the development of digital health solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The Senior Clinical Project Manager role is a critical position responsible for the overall relationship management of client accounts andday to day project management including communication activities, to ensure that the Company can deliver quality projects and services on time and within budget through effective management of resources.

Key responsibilities of this role comprise:

- Project Management_
- Management of one or more projects (typically mid-high complexity) with a focus on delivery of the scope on time, within budget and with a high-quality outcome
- Compile and maintain project-specific plans tailored to each study to drive efficient implementation, detailed risk management plan with identification of timely mitigation strategies, communications plan
- Monitor project scope, timelines and milestones, issues and risks for one or more projects
- Monitor project financials, budget tracking and accuracy of invoicing
- Track key problems / issues and work with the other team members to ensure timely resolution
- Create and maintain accurate study documentation and reports
- Proactively contribute to project and portfolio planning improvement initiatives
- Support maintenance of project and/or portfolio trackers, as required
- Author and/or review company SOPs and guidelines, as required
- Management of third-party vendors and strategic partners in accordance with specific project requirements for one or more projects, including review of vendor contracts and scopes of work
- Communications_
- Develop positive and constructive professional relationships
- Lead Client meetings to manage client interactions and expectations in line with capabilities
- Lead internal cross functional project meetings, capturing minutes and action items
- Line Management_
- Personnel management and/or mentorship of Project Manager(s), Junior Project Manager(s) and/or Project Administrator(s)
- Finance_
- Maintain and update individual current and future project costing sheets to track timelines, monitor costs and invoices against budget plan vs estimate, calculation of project income recognition, and review and escalate associated resource management requirements
- Lead the collation of project portfolio costing sheets and, utilising macro and pivot table capabilities, critically review financial and resource outputs. Present output and recommendations to the Senior
- Commercial_
- Proactively contribute to costing proposal improvement initiatives
- Lead the preparation of costing proposals and bid defence presentations to secure new business
- Maintain communication with potential business clients in conjunction with maintenance of SalesForce database and/or internal trackers to capture and update commercial opportunities
- Clinical_
- Lead the development of clinical trial documents (e.g., Clinical Study Protocol, Participant Information Sheet, study procedure manual, Safety Management Plan, Clinical Monitoring Plan etc)
- Lead and/or provide oversight on the preparation, finalisation, and submission of trial related documents to relevant regulatory authorities.
- Experience_
- Bachelor's (and/or higher) degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field
- Extensive experience in Project Management including experience of commercial bid defences and/or budget management preferable
- Prior experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, medical device, or academic life sciences sectors
- Extensive experience of customer and supplier management
- Prior experience of managing small teams (direct or matrix management) in a project-based environment
- Understanding of SaaS technology in clinical research or healthcare desirable
- Essential Competencies_
- Strong understanding of clinical research (pharma, device and/or biotech sectors) or healthcare sectors, and of clinical research and/or healthcare SaaS technology
- Proven track record of project management expertise
- Business and financially aware mindset, able to engage at commercial level to secure new and/or repeat business
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project colleagues, managers, and clients, with ability to manage and motivate others
- Ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams encompassing IT, Data Management, Clinical, and Science disciplines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both written and oral), including strong influencing skills
- Advanced organisational and time management skills
- Concern for quality, attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and able to assume responsibility in a professional manner
- Experience in using key programs including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint (essential) and SAGE (desirable)
- Proactive contribution to the Company by being a versatile and flexible team player
