**Job description**:
The team are recruiting for two HEO roles, a Multilateral Policy Advisor and Data Bridges Policy Advisor. The Multilateral Policy Advisor will be responsible for driving forward delivery of engagement in priority multilateral fora (G7 / G20 / OECD / UN) and shaping associated workstreams. This will involve building out our international objectives on data policy, establishing relationships with priority partners and seeking Ministerial and cross-Whitehall buy-in to promote our approach in international fora. There will likely be some required international travel. The Data Bridges Policy Advisor will lead on delivering new UK data bridge agreements, managing existing adequacy arrangements, and encouraging global data flows. Success in this role will boost growth and productivity, positioning the UK as an international hub for data-driven innovation.

Multilateral Policy Advisor
- Lead on coordinating engagement in key multilateral fora, including the UN and Council of Europe and supporting engagement with CBPR Forum.
- Represent UK interests in multilateral discussions.
- Prioritise multilateral initiatives to support delivery of the Data Policy Directorate's international objectives.
- Provide geopolitical insights and best practice into data policy and strategy developments.
- Manage, deliver, and support multilateral data initiatives with important international partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant government departments (UKMiS, FCDO, DBT) and external stakeholders.
- Broker common positions across government and inform our international data policy and strategy.
- Help build a positive and inclusive team culture and work closely with colleagues in our network of Embassies and overseas Posts.
