**Dispatch Supervisor**
Higher Kings Mill, a large paper manufacturer of 100% recycled paper for the filling and educational market, has an opportunity for a Despatch Assistant.
**The Role**:
Full-time, working days (08:00-16:30), Monday to Friday.
Working in a busy department as part of a team and on your own initiative, assisting the prompt and accurate despatch of finished goods to the customer and supporting the logistics manager, carefully maintaining and handling stock & finished goods to a high standard that is acceptable to the customer.

- Fork lift truck licence desirable, training also provided.
- Manufacturing and/or logistic experience desirable but not essential
**Responsibilities**
- Timely completion of zone audits and safety checks
- Risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work to be up to date and current
- Immediate reporting of dangerous occurrences/incidents
- To ensure the department is fully compliance with all regulations including but not limiting to health and safety, environment, fire risks, etc. at all times
- Application of environmental policies at all times
- All loads leaving the Mill comply with Unit policy on safe stacking and strapping
- Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are met in all areas of responsibility
- Be part of the Company rota and enforce its operation so the mill is covered at all times.
- Despatch notes to be issued with every despatch. CMR forms to be stamped and completed
- Book in all UK deliveries with times and references
- Issue clamp drivers with a list for on-going production, with clear instructions
- Physical inventory counts to ensure stock levels are accurate
- Multi drop loads to maximised when completing weekly schedule
- Optimal use of resources, monitoring coordination of overtime
- Agree spec requirements and obtain comparative quotes
- Weekly Monitoring of planning schedule, guidance to the Finishing Manager, Production Manager
- Understanding Ascman system and utilizing it to manage despatched goods.
- Consistent monitoring, guidance & execution of plans
- Proactively planning in anticipation of issues that can arise
- Monitor production for non-conforming product likely to cause delay to our customer
- Monitor product presentation for compliance with specification and mill standards
- Monitor quality of trailers and strapping for loading finished goods
- Deliver timely and sufficient responses to foreseeable and unforeseen breakdown
- Incident Investigation & root cause analysis with corrective action plan
- Regular monitoring of the complaints system & feedback from managers
- Monitor pallets, ensure they match our quality
- Ensure that the presentation of the wrapped pallet meets customer requirements and is suitably strapped for transport
- Ensure that the work flow is organised to be efficient and effective
- Ensure that labels are correct for the order being processed
- Ensure projects and equipment proposal is suitable and sufficient.
- Picking & loading of despatches using both fork / clamp truck.
Complete necessary paperwork for exporting into Europe / Worldwide.
