Develop and implement innovative ways to evaluate tenders and quotation returns to maximise commercial returns. Ensure that all orders are processed correctly, usage trends are analysed. Achieve cost savings through the use of procurement and sourcing solutions.

Load, delete and maintain all electronic catalogues liaise with colleagues on this. Use monthly KPIs information to spot frequently ordered items which should be added to catalogues or contracted for Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy/certified before dispatch. Develop and implement innovative ways to evaluate tenders and quotation returns to release cash savings. Lead quote negotiations in line with EU legislation and commercial/contact law/SFIs.

Promptly answer queries/resolve complaints. Maintain a client centred service with all users. Supervise Buyers and ensure a courteous and quality service is delivered for all clients. Provide procurement expertise in the use of day to day procurement systems.

Offer commercial and contractual advice and best source of supply on all goods and services Encourage users to source via the electronic catalogues. Enhance user knowledge by disseminating information to update on the e-Procurement system. Support the Implementation of policies and procedures. Behave flexibly and rotate around the team where needed Support with maintenance and updating of databases and spreadsheets to generate accurate reports.

Support senior team to work with the team on the work plan and data base to prioritise and/or reprioritise work for the team. Deal with ad hoc queries and urgent requests. Ensure that best practice is created and shared Support the implementation and updating of policies and procedures Support contracts team with low value negotiations Positively engage with clinical/managerial/end users. Report back about changes that impact on the work of the team.

Use operational networks to raise the profile of procurement and highlight its value Take the lead in networking with key current and future Recognise the need to engage others in discussions about proposed changes and explain the reasons and benefits. Foster a culture of innovation and improvements and encourage ideas from others. Facilitate discussion, field questions and listen to concerns and or objections from all. Implement the change and agree milestones and activities with all.

Evaluate the benefits achieved. Personal effectiveness and development Deputise for Senior Procurement officer and potentially procurement manager Update industry/business knowledge. Identify own development needs agree a development plan to close the gap. Prioritise and organise own workload.
