Traffic Planner

**Traffic Planner - Southampton - Competitive Salary**

Clemence Rogers are currently for a Traffic Planner who will work as part of the transport allocation team. The traffic planner will be given a pool of drivers to plan daily and will also play a big role in answering incoming calls to the traffic desk.

**Key Responsibilities of a Traffic Planner**:

- Liaising with drivers within a busy environment
- Maximising Drivers’ available hours whilst staying within working time legislation.
- Managing and monitoring the performance of all drivers
- Report any issues to the Planner /Management
- Dealing with drivers’ hours
- Respond promptly to Customers enquiries
- Prioritise workload and assist routing and planning of vehicles to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers' expectations.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C, including English and Maths.
- A good knowledge of UK geography.
- Previous experience in a Driver Liaison, Traffic Planning, or Allocations role or similar.
- A good understanding of Drivers’ working time legislation.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of dealing with internal and external customers.

**Hours**:
Monday to Friday
