We are looking to recruit an apprentice in our engienering team for our 2023 apprentice intake (September 2023 start).

**Skills and competencies**
- Must be able to communicate well as you will work as part of a team, but also on your own
- Must be willing to learn and be hands-on
- Have an interest in Engineering and a desire to understand how things work,
- Able to think outside the box and be adaptable to change
- Responsible, attentive and conscientiousness
- Considerate, ability to listen and learn, respectful
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 4 and above, including Maths, English and Science (or equivalent BTEC)

At the end of the apprenticeship the individual will graduate with the following skill set allowing them to join multiple functions within the Engineering Team

Specific Specialist Skills:

- Read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to maintain components, equipment and systems
- Carry out breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment
- Carrying out complex fault diagnosis and repair activities on high technology machinery such as:

- Maintaining a variety of mechanical equipment
- Maintaining fluid & pneumatic power equipment
- Maintaining power presses.
- Maintaining process control equipment
- Carrying out confirmation testing and subsequent smooth hand over of equipment & plant in relation to both quality & production needs
- Support the installation, testing and commissioning of equipment (where applicable)
- Contribute to the business by identifying possible opportunities for improving working practices, processes and/or procedures
