Job Title

Main Purpose
- To implement and manage all the catering activities within the Home.
- To provide wholesome cooking to meet individual Service Users needs.
- To provide the nutritional requirements of individual Service Users.
**Requirements**:
- To demonstrate good communication skills
- Food hygiene certificate
- Catering certificate / qualifications
Main Duties and
**Responsibilities**:
- Overall day-to-day management of the kitchens.
- Preparation of menus and diet sheets in consultation with the Home Manager and Dietician.
- Ordering of food and other goods and implementation of stock control. Food orders will be presented to Home Manager for approval. Stock control will be carried out weekly.
- Record keeping as necessary.
- Budgetary controls.
- Preparing and cooking of all foods.
- Washing up duties as required.
- Ensuring that the hygiene standards within the kitchen meet Local Environment Health Department requirements.
- Ensure the well-being and safe-keeping of all equipment and utensils.
- Any other duties as required.
Training
- You will be required to attend all mandatory and statutory training including:
a) Fire i) Food Allergen
b) Food Hygiene level 2 j) Soft Diets
c) COSHH
d) Nutrition
e) Food Safety
f) Health and Safety
g) Infection Control
h) Adults at Risk
Supervision & Personal
Development Plans
- You will be required to participate in developing a personal development plan twice a year.
- You will also be required to participate in supervision sessions every two months.
Health & Safety
- It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act are complied with, safe working practices are adhered to and that any hazards observed are reported to the appropriate officer immediately.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
