Overview:
**Purpose of your role within the business;**

The role is to be actively involved in the production related activities of the business. This will include operating machinery whilst achieving and improving targets related to production, safety and quality.

**General Activities**
- Work within the production facility operating production machinery efficiently and safely in line with company training.
- Carry out tasks issued by shift supervisor.
- In conjunction with your supervisor - report any improvement actions warranted regarding the plant.
- Monitor and control safety systems to ensure safe working at all times.
- Ensure recording of all information accurately - to enable production performance to be continually measured, effectively reviewed and modified.
- Ensure your supervisor & plant engineer are made aware of repair and maintenance needs promptly.
- Monitor site security and report anything suspicious or unusual.
- Provide the necessary support to ensure efficient overall operations.
- Inform your supervisor of any training requirements you are in need of.

- Assists in the implementation of any improvement actions.

- Complies with general procedures and ensures that materials are correctly handled, identified and located.

**Reporting problems.**
- Complies with procedures for reporting problems encountered during production operations.

The position of Production Operative reports directly to your Shift Supervisor.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,500.00-£27,200.00 per year
