**Automation And Digital Lead**:
Here at Haleon, we are on the lookout for a highly skilled **Automation and Digital Lead **to join our dedicated team in Maidenhead.

As an Automation and Digital Lead, you will manage the site automation team, providing strategy, prioritisation and direction while ensuring continued automation and digital development throughout the engineering organisation.

**_ In This Role You Will _**:
The role is responsible for automation system performance across the sites manufacturing and utility assets working closely with the wider engineering team to reduce losses and ensure efficient operation, leveraging new technologies and digital platforms to drive the business forward.

**_ Responsibilities _**:

- **Lead And Manage The Reliability, Maintenance And Performance Improvement Of The Automation Infrastructure Across Manufacturing, Filling & Packing Equipment And Utilities Working Closely With Engineering And Operations Teams To Maximise Site Performance.**:

- Responsible for definition of the site automation and obsolescence strategy ensuring consistent standards in hardware and software are applied and obsolescence risks are addressed/mitigated.
- Define and execute the continuous investment plan to ensure the site remain current and innovative in both automation and digital technologies to leverage business benefit and avoid significant obsolescence in both skills and technology.
- Support problem solving and investigation activities for all automation issues and work closely with the wider CH automation team, building relationships and leveraging knowledge exchange between sites.
- Play an active role in representing the site and supporting the central consumer healthcare automation network
- Lead and initiate continuous improvement programmes and projects including the development and optimization of operation and maintenance procedures for instrumentation and automation / control systems.
- Tender and appoint contractors for the supply of automation services, plant and equipment, installation or Service work for Production operations, such that they contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required and represent value for money.
- Lead the definition and delivery of the skills training programme for all engineering staff in digital and automation such that the capability of the site engineering team meets the requirements of the business
- Stay current on developments in the field of instrumentation, control technology, digital opportunities and Haleon Standards.
- Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Global Engineering Standards, Statutory inspection requirements, machinery safety and Guidance on suitability.
- Ensure that GMP, quality, health & safety processes are adhered to in all aspects of the role.
- To demonstrate the key capabilities, behaviors and values expected for Haleon leaders.

- HNC or Engineering Degree.
- Experience of working in an FMCH and GMP compliant environment.
- Experience of successfully delivering capital projects.
- Experience of leading and managing multi skilled technicians and support engineers in the manufacturing environment, to include performance management, objective setting, coaching/mentoring, development and prioritisation.
- Experience in developing close links with key site customers (quality, operations, EHS).
- Experience of providing and presenting data and recommendations to site leadership teams to facilitate and influence timely and effective decision making.
