**Maintenance operative.**

Mirefoot Cottages is a small family run business of five self-catering units and a leisure facility. We are seeking a member of staff to maintain and develop these facilities. This is a varied role involving work inside and outside. The work will generally be between Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. This is expected to be a part time position, but a full-time role could be considered depending on experience and adaptability to gardening and estate work. Experience of pool plant operations would be beneficial.

The expected salary range is £27,500 - £36,500 depending on experience and qualifications.

**Roles and responsibilities**
- Maintain facilities indoors and outdoors to a high standard
- Able to undertake basic joinery, tiling, simple plumbing, changing domestic appliances etc.
- Routinely inspect cottages to ensure everything functions well and maintain a standard of decoration
- Be responsible for tools and equipment and managing workshop
- Be a good communicator able to liaise with the General Manager and other contractors when necessary
- Have a friendly disposition and be able to work as part of a small team

**Requirements**:

- A good level of general maintenance competence including painting and decorating experience
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a maintenance role ideally in a hospitality environment
- Flexible and adaptable attitude with a tidy and organised work ethic and the ability to keep records
- A full driving license living within 30 minutes of Burneside
- Presentable and responsibly minded with an eye for detail
- Knowledge & experience of health and safety at work practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-38 per week

**Salary**: £27,500.00-£36,500.00 per year
