Production Controller

Established in 2007 & based in the beautiful City of Bath. We are a forward-thinking team that has become one of the fastest growing in this market sector. We design & publish a range of Gift Stationery, Books, Calendars and Diaries that we sell in the UK and Worldwide.
It is essential that you will have worked with children's products previously and are familiar with the current industry standards. The role is full time, Monday to Friday and office-based only.
**Overview of Main Duties**
- Maintain print schedules and liaise with printers, both abroad and UK to manage all steps of production
- Proof and technically check and edit files from designers in a number of formats
- Ensure compliance is followed and all requirements are fulfilled
- Check and approve ozalids, print-ready files, dummies and advances
- Support internal teams by assisting with customer requests such as for images and barcode information
- Accurately recording all product information and updating where necessary
- Liaise with image libraries and license holder to ensure responsible use and permissions where needed
- Support with compliance documentation both for printers and products.
**Experience and Skills Required**
- Experience handling compliance is beneficial, but not essential
- Background in children’s products
- Experience in new product development
- Confident using a Mac, working with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills to deal with customers and suppliers
- High attention to detail when processing information and proofing
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills to manage large amounts of information and multiple projects
- Highly motivated and positive approach, with a willingness to problem solve when issues arise
- Ability to stick to deadlines and manage timelines as needed to achieve plans.
Salary dependent on experience
