We are looking for a **Payment Advisor** to work in our Payments Team, part of our busy Payment division. A high level of numeracy, as well as excellent written and spoken communication is required.

Starting salary between £19,000 and £21,000, depending on experience. This is a permanent post with an immediate start date, working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We offer Hybrid working with a combination of both office and home/remote working. Currently our Payment Advisors work a general split of 3/2 days, but this could change.

**About the job**

You will go through an in-depth training programme which will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to ensure you are able to deliver excellent service to our customers. You’ll support the team to achieve KPIs within the business area and help other teams with their payment queries. You will undertake training which will equip you with the relevant skills and knowledge required to ensure you are able to deliver an excellent level of service to our business customers.

You’ll manage your workload effectively and be happy to knowledge-share and support through any tricky issues. Take ownership when things go wrong, ask for help if you need it, and follow problems through to resolution. The Payment Advisor role is varied, and there are always opportunities to use your existing skills as well as to learn new skills. **Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver excellent customer service to our business water customers
- Respond to payment and billing queries
- Work with all business areas to resolve problems.
- Work collaboratively with your team and the wider business to improve business processes.
- Manage workload effectively ensuring all tasks are completed within given timescales.
- Take ownership of customer queries and resolve in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate.
- We adhere strictly to company guidelines regarding data protection and regulatory compliance.

**About you**

You like problem solving. You’ll be confident in your skills and understanding, work fast and accurate, and love resolving complex issues.

You’ve previous experience of office life, probably in an admin role - if you’ve worked in utilities before that would be great, but not essential. You’ll be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

You’re highly organised, reliable, and flexible with a positive attitude, and the ability to work well both collaboratively and autonomously.

You’re not fazed by a high pressure, fast paced environment, or by working to tight deadlines and at short notice.

You’re able to communicate with all levels of employees throughout the company.
