Photographic Buyer

Clifton Cameras is a well respected and leading photographic and electronics retailer. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to join our friendly team and work alongside some of our key suppliers, purchasing quality products for our business.

Primary skills will include, negotiating with suppliers and creating and maintaining inventory levels within agreed budgets. You’ll be working with staff across departments, ensuring sales and promotional plans are executed to the highest of standards.

We are looking for someone who is analytically minded, creative and able to monitor competitor activity, market trends and industry knowledge.

**Buyer Responsibilities**:

- Research, select and purchase products and services to offer customers the best experience possible when shopping with us.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best offers.
- Ensure that our inventory is sufficient but not excessive.
- Manage your accounts open orders, communicating lead times on key lines to your depending colleagues.
- Ability to travel.

**Key Skills**:

- Are you currently working in a buying role or does your knowledge of the photo sector qualify you to meet the above requirements?
- Do you have proficient skills in working with Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint?
- Are you able to learn and adopt new software processes?
- Do you have good negotiation skills?
- Are your communication skills, both written and verbal of a high standard?
- Are you able to accommodate occasional domestic or international travel?

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gloucester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Gloucester
