**Role purpose**

The operator has the greatest impact on both equipment productivity and workflow efficiency. To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking a highly motivated Guillotine Operator. This position will quickly and adequately cut detailed, high-quality printed materials in a time-sensitive atmosphere utilising a range of Automatic and Semi-Automatic Guillotines.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assessing maintenance procedures including blade changes and daily maintenance.
- Assessing troubleshooting procedures
- Responsible for cutting all jobs as assigned across all business units
- Reporting issues and liaising with other operators to troubleshoot and overcome quality issues where applicable
- Must be able to meet schedules whilst being responsible for ensuring quality work
- Produce a high standard of quality work
- Perform other duties as required from time to time, this could include running/training on other machines within Mimeo where workload requires or to cover staff shortages.
- Must be willing to learn other processes to become a multi-skilled operator

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Capable of multi-tasking; performing well under pressure
- Mechanically Minded and detail-oriented
- Logical and process driven
- Good numerical and literacy skills
- Competence in paper handling and using exact measurements.

**Desired but not essential Skills**:

- Competent mechanical skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of working in the printing industry
- Competent with Guillotines and handling digital print (preferred)
- Knowledge of paper characteristics and other printing substrates

**Hours of work: 37.5 per week, Rotational shifts: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm**
