Traffic Planner

Time Appointments are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a Shipping & Logistics company based in Ipswich who are looking for a Traffic Planner to join their busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Arrange for the delivery and reloading of equipment arriving daily into ports across the UK and Ireland.
- Allocate traction resources from approved subcontractors to each unit, considering the delivery criteria and suitability of the resource to meet the requested delivery criteria.
- Plan and assign reloads to each unit utilising the most cost-effective combination and ensuring compliance to any specific loading criteria.
- Receive and communicate details of any delay or problem that may affect the service to our customers.
- Ensure that loaded exports units cans proceed to port after loading and that access to the terminal will be permitted on arrival.
- Deal with Haulier rate queries and inputting additional costs (Day rates - waiting times etc.) into in-house IT system.
