We are a long-established cycle shop located in Hampton, South West London, catering for families, commuters, and enthusiasts.

Established in 1999, we are looking for the right person to join our family and help to develop the business for years to come. Our bricks and mortar store will remain the forefront of our business model, but it is now time to share the excellent service we have with the world wide web.

Open 7 days a week, the shop is always busy offering advice and assistance to our cycling community. Focusing on cycle sales, servicing, and repairs, we cater for every cycling need and are proud to be stockists of brands such as Giant, Liv, Brompton, Frog, Squish and more.

Excited to be part of the cycling revolution here in the UK, we are focused on doing our part to ensure this growth, in the knowledge that ‘Our’ customers are doing so with the right products because of the right advice and best customer service.

Outstanding customer service, a passion for cycling and teamwork are the key drivers to our winning formula. With a loyal and dedicated team providing a great work ethic, between us we always get the job done to the highest of standards. Staff rides, weekend beers and Deliveroo lunches are just some of our favored ways to kick back.

Sales, bookings, stock take management, merchandising and sales growth are all daily roles you will be expected to perform. In addition to this and where the right individual will succeed and be rewarded is to help with the growth of the business. Growing instore sales is as within any business key and essential, but Birdie Bikes are different and ready to take on the next step. We seek a self-motivated individual with a desire to take on a project, see it grow and reap the rewards. Online sales are our starting point, with the possibility of more stores/manager roles potentially available in the future. Are you that person capable of helping us achieve our goals?

As part of our team, you will be expected to always offer outstanding customer service. In addition to this, the role will include but are not limited to:

- Front of house/Sales duties
- Selling new and used cycles, accessories, clothing, and spare parts.
- Merchandising including the unpacking of deliveries.
- Booking in Services and Repairs.
- Offering advice and expertise on all products and services we provide as well as cycling in general.
- Dealing with customer enquiries
- Updating customers on their sales status and/or repairs.
- Stock management in the showroom
- General duties to ensure the clean, tidy, and operational status of the shop.
- Driving forward our online presence - both in online sales and social media marketing
- Assisting the director with the set up and running of our POS System.

Key to our success is down to the outstanding customer experience we provide and more importantly down to those who deliver it, which is why it is vital we have the right members in our team. We are looking for someone who possesses the following attributes:

- Sound industry knowledge with experience in a similar role.
- Good IT Skills with operational POS Knowledge.
- Can always deliver exceptional customer service.
- Be approachable and able to demonstrate strong communication skills whether face to face, on the telephone or online.
- Be a flexible and committed team player.
- Can work efficiently and are well organised, even when working under pressure (during busy periods)
- Will not shy away from hard work or overtime and is willing to keep going until the job is done.
- A passion for cycling
- Punctual, loyal, and dedicated
- Has a willingness to learn and develop their current skills.
- Can hit the ground running.

Experience and knowledge in the following areas is essential:

- Cycle industry knowledge/experience preferred however someone with a passion for cycling and good cycling knowledge will be considered.
- Cycle sales/retail experience
- Social Media Marketing experience
- POS and Online Sales experience (ideally Lightspeed)
- Full driving licence desirable but not essential

As more or less all retail requires, you will be required to work Saturdays. In addition to this you will be required to work one Sunday a month and one Bank Holiday a year.
