**ROLE PURPOSE**:
This position requires to maintain and manage day to day operations of Starbucks Coffee shop within GBS Cafeteria on Store Manager absence. This job creates the best customer experience for our staff, students, and visitors by providing them with prompt service, quality beverages and products. Responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
**Main Responsibilities**:
**ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To maintain excellent customer relations and to constantly strive to improve customer service.
- Provide quality drinks, coffee and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Deputising in the Store Manager's absence
- Being a leader for the team to ensure a world class customer experience
- Being responsible for the day to day running of shifts
- Playing an important role in people development, training and coaching
- Managing inventory and stock control for the store
- Motivating the team to ensure great results
- Being responsible for high standards of cleanliness across the store inside and out
- Working closely with the Store Manager / ensuring that our customers get great products and a friendly service from a motivated team
- Assist the Store Manager with stock control and ordering
- Assist with staff rotas in line with budgeted hours
- Supervise the team, ensuring that everyone is aware of their daily duties
- Manage deliveries and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in line with procedure
- To prepare and serve beverages and confectionery and meet customer expectations.
- To ensure that you are always adhering to food safety procedures.
- To handle cash and accurately record customer order information.
- To resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently as they arise.
- To work within EHO, COSHH and Health and Safety Guidelines
- To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, and work in a clean and tidy manner
- To always wear uniforms in-line with company policy
- To attend relevant training courses as directed by the line manager
- All work to be carried out with a customer focused attitude, providing excellent customer service with a proactive work ethic.
- At all times to carry out responsibilities with due regard to the GBS codes of practice on Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety and adhere to the Data Protection Act.
**Requirements**:
**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
- Food Hygiene Certificate level 2.
- Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
