**Job description**

We are now recruiting for this brand new role to join us in our Wheathampstead office, supporting the Operations Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent computer and administration skills, loves a spreadsheet and enjoys analysing data.

The overall responsibility of this role is to support the Operations Director in all areas such as
- Raising and amending supplier purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Assisting with cost management by researching alternative suppliers and collating quotes for raw materials, new products and services
- Ensuring all ingredients, recipes, suppliers and costs are kept up to date
- Assisting in the setting up and onboarding of new systems
- Monitoring of slow moving and obsolete stock, providing regular updates and reports
- Tracking lead times, availability and vendor performance whilst maintaining good supplier relationships
- Liaising with other departments including Technical, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Customer Service and Warehouse
- Generating and analysing stock reports and spotting changing trends
- Acquiring data from multiple sources and departments to formulate future sales forecasts
- Ensuring production schedules are kept up to date
- Ad-hoc minute taking for meetings held by the Operations Director
- General administrative tasks
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Be highly proficient with computers and able to quickly learn new systems
- Be highly skilled in Excel with experience in more advanced formulas and data analysis
- Have excellent attention to detail

**Reporting to**:

- Operations Director

**Hours of Work**:

- Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm (Flexible working - 1 day per week at home and 4 days per week in the office)

- £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience
