Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical and/or Learning Disabilities living in the Airdrie area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks OR PEG feeding is required.
- Walking, Cycling, football and assisting with participation in these physical activities.
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair, using manual hoist/tracking hoist
- Household shopping and collecting prescriptions.
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid OR as you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
- The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Favourite activities are swimming, adapted sports, music, golf, horse riding, sensory experiences, and socialising.

Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog/cat/bird etc. in the home.

Experience is required OR desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for one position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 16-20 hours per week.

**Days and times**:
Set shifts at set times OR weekly Rota.

Typically - Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 12pm - 6pm

Saturday: 12pm - 4pm

Occasional weekends and evenings may be required - to be discussed at interview.

**Hourly rate**:
£13 per hour
