Robin Specialist Autism Service is an autism service operating in Hillingdon, Ruislip, Hounslow, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Camden, Barnet and Newham. A fantastic opportunity has come up in the outreach service for 2 Senior Support Workers. The focus of the role will be to provide support to adults with autism living with their families and supporting them to develop/maintain life skills and go out to be part of the community. it is a role also suitable for those pursuing a course or career in Psychology.

**Please note -** Working five days a week with the expectation of working 2 weekends per month as and when required. Rota is provided 4 weeks in advance.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Bilingual is desirable - English, Bulgarian, Romanian, Polish, Hungarian, Turkish, Italian)
- Previous care experience 1+ years
- Previous experience in working with people with Autism and experience of working with individuals with behaviours that challenge
- Being physically fit and able to walk long periods in the community
- Full driving licence desirable
- Be confident in using your own initiative and deputising for the Deputy Manager
- Have strong IT skills and be able to manage your own time and work under pressure
- Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm to bring new ideas into the service
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children

**What will your role as a Senior Support Worker look like?**
- Provide direct support to clients with autism with, daily living skills, managing health conditions, promoting independence and decisions making, facilitating communication, trying new experiences and accessing social opportunities, education and volunteering.
- Create support plans and risk assessments.
- Coordinating clients care packages working alongside support workers.
- Researching, planning and scoping out new opportunities and activities for the people supported
- Partnership working and networking with other families and other professionals.
- To take a lead role for areas of operational delivery as requested
- To work across a floating support team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,350.00-£26,325.00 per year
