**Job Purpose**: To provide a warm, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to our guests and members ensuring exceptional service standards and delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations.

**Reports to**: Bar Supervisor & Club Manager

**Key Duties and Responsibilities General**:

- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and members
- Ensure the lounge, bar and kitchen are always presentable and tables and chairs are cleaned and re-set in a timely manner ready for the next guest.
- Ensure all members and guests are seated and provided with service promptly, using the booking system if in operation. Hand out menus, recite any specials or menu changes and take drink orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure all members and guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests
- Familiarize yourself with the menu and about the food and beverage offering to be able to answer any questions guests may have
- Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks promptly and ensure that they are served in clean presentable glassware or crockery and that the guest has any accompaniments required for the drinks. i.e., milk and sugar
- Take food orders, repeating back the order, noting any dietary/allergen information. Place the order into the EPOS system giving the order to the kitchen as soon as possible to be made.
- Prepare and serve items from the “bar menu” on days when kitchen not open.
- Ensure members and guests have everything they need for their meal, i.e., cutlery, sauces, serve food to the table in a safe and hygienic manner, checking back during their meal that they have everything they need and are enjoying their experience.
- Upsell any specials, and drinks where possible
- Deal with customer complaints in a pleasant and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction and report any issues to the club administrator or member of the management team
- Assist the kitchen team with any requests, including but not limited to washing dishes, polishing cutlery, cleaning, sweeping and mopping.
- Back of house responsibilities, including but not limited to; putting deliveries away, ensuring stock rotation, re-stocking the bar fridges and shelves, ensuring stock rotation, cleaning and polishing glasses and cutlery, folding napkins, preparing cutlery, sauces, refilling coffee machine, cups and saucers, hoovering and any cleaning duties to ensure lounge and bar are presentable at all times, sweeping and mopping bar floor daily, completing any cleaning logs and H&S logs for temperature checks.
- Cashing out and banking procedures at the end of shift, while checking for any outstanding tabs or orders
- Take bookings for the clubhouse and tee time bookings using the BRS system.
- Advise members/ guests about their golf booking and any specific requirements on the golf course, e.g fairway mats in use, taking payment for any guests
- Ensure members guests are signed into the Guest sign in book
- Report any issues in the clubhouse or golf course to the administrator or Management Team as soon as possible
- Answer the phone in a professional and helpful manner dealing with any enquiries
- Communicate with colleagues, management team, ensure handovers are completed effectively,
- Serve alcohol in line with Licensing laws
- Complete all training required by Management and in compliance with Health and Safety regulations, Food Hygiene and Licencing Laws
- Any other duties directed by the Management Team or Club Administrator.

**Key Requirements for the Role**:

- Experience of working in a similar role/and or environment
- Accurate and efficient cash handling skills
- High standard of personal presentation
- Appropriate food hygiene certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to take initiative and resolve queries in a practical and positive manner
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a sometimes busy fast paced challenging environment with no supervision

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
