We are currently looking for a Head of Airworthiness to join our team in RAF Cranwell. The prime focus of this role is to ensure the continuing airworthiness management of our aircraft including the coordination of all maintenance activities, maintenance programme development and forecasts and planning in accordance with EASA Part M, CAME with military annex, AMPs and commercial best practice.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- At least 5 years’ experience managing a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in accordance with EASA /UK CAA Part M Subpart G / Part CAMO Regulations
- Experience as a Form 4 / SRG 1769 postholder
- Recent experience liaising with UK CAA and / or other Competent Authority at a senior level
- Recent experience working within an aviation Safety Management System, including but not limited to Hazard identification, Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis safety data and management of safety investigations
- Experience in dealing directly with TCH, DAH and OEMs at a senior level on Airworthiness and Technical matters
- Experience in liaising with and contracting Part 145 Maintenance Organisations
- Experience in liaising with and contracting Part 21 Design Organisations
- Recognised Aeronautical Degree and/or Part 66 AML
- Recognised EASA/CAA Part M / Pt CAMO regulatory refresher training
- Recognised Human Factors training
- Recognised SMS training
- Demonstrable leadership skills suited to a senior management role in Affinity
- Strong collaborative working skills, with both fellow Post Holders and other members of the leadership and senior management groups.

As part of your normal core responsaibilities and duties, you will:

- Manage continuing airworthiness tasks and delegate to the Continuing Airworthiness Support staff.
- Liaise directly with the Competent Authority (UK CAA) on matters of continuing airworthiness.
- Liaise with Military Peer group at senior officer level (MilCAM, TAA and MAA)
- Manage the review and amendment of CAME procedures and workplace instructions.
- Manage the six monthly review of Aircraft Maintenance programmes and prepare presentation for the AMP review.
- Manage the monitoring of day-to-day compliance with Part CAMO and Affinity CAME, identifying nonconformities and resolving in an effective and timely manner.
- Manage the day-to-day continuing airworthiness tasks as per M.A.301
- Manage and control the AR review process and ensure Airworthiness Reviews are completed within required timescale.
- Promoting strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Accomplishing any other duties as may be reasonably directed or delegated by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager
- Conduct a review of pre-exisiting CAMO functionality, processes, personnel, tasking and activity with a view to optimising the CAMO set-up and prioritising its future activity, which they will then implement on taking post
- Conduct a risk assessment of CAMO contracted bodies
- Conduct an efficiency/effectiveness review of existing Aircraft Maintenance Programmes, implementing the outcomes on taking post
- Become familiar with and review CAMO use of the company’s Computerised Maintenance Control System
- Provide CAMO expertise to Affinity’s change programmes

This is a full-time position based on 40 hours a week.
