**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full-Time
**Hours**:40 hours per week
**Salary**: £11.05 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative, responsible for the day-to-day portering and mail services for our client based in, Canary Wharf. This position calls for an organised team player, committed to achieving the highest standard of work within a busy corporate environment.

**_ Main Duties_**
- Planning and co-ordination of work/services with the logistics team.
- Coordinate and take direction from other service line managers to ensure a seamless service is delivered to the customer
- Responsible for ensuring all tasks are carry out works safely, efficiently, compliant and to the required standard
- To work in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures
- To perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing and records maintenance
- The ability to communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner with customers and colleagues
- Development of positive working relationships between the logistics team and other service lines
- Setting up of meeting rooms as per the clients request
- Collection of mail/parcels from off-site scanning facility, and delivery to relevant department
- Collection of outgoing mail/parcels from the client floors
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Environment
- The ability to manage fluctuating work demands
- To accurately use the franking machine, track & trace system, printer and X-Ray machine
- To keep the areas of the site which come under our demise clean and tidy at all times.
- To assist the delivery drivers who are onsite and make sure all goods are transferred to the correct tenants.
- To carry out the relevant checks on all incoming deliveries, and ensure they meet the loading bay requirements
- Any other ad hoc duties
- Escort Confidential Waste company employees while on site

**_Person Specification_**
- Previous Experience in facilities maintenance
- Manual handling experience
- A positive "can-do" attitude
- The ability to remain calm in a changeable environment
- Experience in waste handling
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Continuously pursue high standards and learn from experience
- Maintain high level of accuracy
