Junior Storeperson

**Overall purpose of job**

Ensure the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, include taking delivery of shipments, checking goods for damage or missing items and storing goods in an organised manner.

**Main activities and responsibilities**
- System and manual administration of material movements.
- Inspection of goods for damage or missing items and reporting as required
- Communicating with Purchasing team and Suppliers to organise returns.
- Despatch of goods including packing & documentation as required
- Assisting in stock taking activities
- Organisation and rotation of stock.
- Delivery of materials to production department
- Housekeeping

Co-ordinate with others in the department, providing cover when and where required and any other reasonable task, within your capabilities, to support the department and/or business.

**Education, qualifications**
- Good literacy/numeracy skills
- Fork lift licence _**:

**Experience**
- No experience required as training will be given
- Previous experience of manufacturing/engineering stores work _**:

- Desirable**_

- Computer literacy, including use of scanners and relevant software programs

**Training**

Willingness to undertake further training to update skills / meet company objectives

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £6.83-£9.50 per hour
