Horticulture / Glasshouse Assistant

HSK is a seasonal horticultural business which is at full capacity from February through to October selling and dispatching orders to our customers. From November to January the reduced flow of orders enables us to prepare for the new season, developing our product range and growing the business through customer contact.

Position: Horticulture / Glasshouse Assistant

Reporting to: Nursery Manager

Role outline:
Working alongside the Nursery Manager supporting with running the nursery site, from goods in to care of plants and final dispatch of the orders.

Potential for development to Nursery Supervisor role for the right applicant.

Hours of work:
8am-5pm

- Efficient goods in and goods out operation
- Customer satisfaction on all dispatches
- Tidy nursery and healthy plants

Person specification:
**Strong physical fitness is essential** as this role involves daily movement and loading of heavy plants. A proactive, reliable and enthusiastic person is required; who is able to work as part of a team using their initiative to ensure the nursery runs efficiently. Attention to detail will be critical for success in this role.

Role Detail:
Task responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Responsible for:

- Assisting with unload of containers
- Ensuring plants are watered.
- Quality control of plants for dispatch.
- Keeping Greenhouse clean and tidy.

**Salary**: £26,000.00 per year
