Deliver a high level of customer service in all interactions with patients, their partners, relatives, carers, and other members of staff to ensure the highest standards of confidentiality, sensitivity and dignity are maintained at all times. Undertake booking and scheduling of all patient clinic appointments within the Hewitt Centre, communicating the information to the patients by the most appropriate method dependent upon the service / treatment arranged e.g. private / NHS, Andrology. Arrange all communication to new patients.
Assist with the provision of a telephone answering service for patients who contact the clinical team directly ensuring the patient is passed to the relevant service or provided with the necessary advice and guidance exercising the necessary judgement when dealing with enquiries. Register and prepare patient files for all NHS and private patients, including Transport and Satellite patients, entering demographic data on Meditech and IDEAS. Distribute or file patient information coming into the Reception/Administration office as required. Help maintain the Hewitt Centres case note filing system and ensure all notes are correctly tracked within, into and out of the reception office.
Help manage a cancellation list for clinic appointments. Work flexibly to cover the hours of operation including weekends and Bank holidays if required.Undertake other duties as required from time to time providing cover for other members of the booking and scheduling team For full details see Job Discription
