You’ll be one of the very first team members our visitors meet as they arrive at the Heights of Abraham. For many of our visitors this is the first time they will have travelled in a cable car and you will be able to look after them as the embark the cable car and enjoy the first highlight of their visit to the Heights of Abraham.

Are you ready to provide them with a first-class customer experience as they board the cable cars and take a flight soaring high above the beautiful Derwent Valley?

The award-winning Derbyshire visitor attraction, Heights of Abraham is looking for talented, motivated, and friendly individuals to join our Welcome Host team.

Working as part of a team which prides itself in offering our visitors great customer service, your focus is to
- help and guide visitors,
- operate the ticket office, providing visitors with their boarding passes and answering their questions
- load customers on and off the cable cars,
- maintain the site’s high standard of cleanliness and quality.

You will work alongside the Cable Car Engineering Team to ensure safe and efficient daily operation of the cable car system, maximising the opportunity to showcase this fantastic cable car experience and high customer service levels we hold. Full training will be given.

Have you got what it takes to hit The Heights?

You’ll be a friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic individual. A team player who enjoys engaging with a wide variety of visitors. You’ll be educated to GCSE level or above with fantastic communication skills.

You should have experience of dealing face-to-face with the public in a customer service industry. Experience of working in a busy environment would be advantageous. The job is varied and requires you to display a self-motivated, flexible ‘can do’ attitude.

Contract length: This is a seasonal position with contract dates running between 11th February - 5th November 2023.

Pay rate: Above National Minimum Wage

Hours: Variable daytime shifts available. As a visitor attraction, we’re busiest at weekends, school, and Bank Holidays. You will be expected to work a significant share of these peak times.

Uniform is provided
