**Digital Printing Administrator - print Artworker**

Due to steady growth and constant demand for our niche printing services YesPrint Ltd are looking to employ print Administrator/basic Artworker to join our studio team.

The company has been providing printing services to Clinical Research Organisations producing complex document compilations for worldwide distribution over the last 20 years.

The postholder will play a pivotal role in the preproduction process which will include basic job estimating/order recording (using MIS software), preparing simple artwork for a variety of print processes, flight checking artwork submitted and completing the printing process prior to sending the printing to the finishing department.

**Working Hours**:
Full Time post only - 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break

**Experience/skills required - minimum 2 years**:

- Operational experience in digital print artwork preparation
- file adjustment and print set up - Graphic design skills not required
- Experience of working to timescale and deadlines
- Experience and understanding of the printing and finishing processes
- Suitably qualified in digital printing and production
- Fluent in using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Methodical approach to computer file handling
- Excellent computer skills and problem solving ('can do' approach)
- Data collection and interpretation as required
- Formal/business communication skills (both verbal and written)

**The Artwork & Reprographic Officer is responsible for**:

- Flight checking artwork submitted, files and preparing print-ready PDFs and proofs for client’s approval
- Preparation of artwork for different print processes - mostly document compilation
- Basic impositioning using designated software (training given)
- Issuing paperwork for the orders placed using MIS Clarity software
- Liaising with clients and taking briefs on the job details
- Checking stock levels for all the elements required to complete the order
- Completing the jobs accurately to the customers’ specification and meeting the customers’ deadlines where practicable
- Sending the print ready documents to the relevant printing equipment
- Providing correct paperwork (job bag) to the Finishing team
- Completing the dispatching paperwork of the finished products - using online booking system including preparation of custom’s declarations (if required)

**This will require the post-holder to be accountable for the following key result areas**:

- Producing the work to the specification given by the customer and choosing the correct shipping option as per the order instruction to ensure effective delivery
- Liaising with the customer regarding any discrepancies or artwork issues (poor quality)
- Utilising the tools and the equipment to achieve the best result with minimum waste and in a timely manner
- Passing the correct instructions to the finishing team (job description/job ticket)
- Completing the order processing chain
- Reporting to the Operations Manager on progress
- Be aware of and adhere to all Yes Print Ltd policies and procedures, the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Data Protection Act
- Maintain confidentiality at all times especially when dealing with medical/pharmaceutical work schedules
- Contribute to the process for the implementation of ISO 9001 quality standard

**Annual Leave entitlement**

21 days plus Bank Holidays. 1 additional day after 2 years continuous service; 1 day thereafter for each two full years of continuous service to a maximum of 5 days

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year (dependent on experience) + bonuses
