Job Overview:
We are seeking a Counter Assistant to join our team. As a Counter Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and support in a pharmacy setting. Your main responsibilities will include assisting customers at the counter, handling medication orders, and ensuring efficient operations.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers and provide friendly and professional assistance at the counter
- Receive and process prescription orders accurately
- Maintain inventory of over-the-counter medications and supplies
- Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure smooth workflow
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and medication safety
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, organizing paperwork, and data entry

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a pharmacy counter assistant preferred
- Knowledge of patient care principles and medication administration is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- You must have a GPhC recognised qualification to work on a Pharmacy Counter
- Willingness to be trained in new pharmacy services
- Opportunity to undergo NVQ level 2 training

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.05 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
