**Become an Academic Mentor**

Discover, explore and engage in the world of education and teaching as you become a key contributor to the country’s recovery from Covid-19, as part of the government-funded National Tutoring Programme.

Make a difference as an Academic Mentor through tailored one-to-one and small group tuition for pupils whose education has been most impacted by the pandemic to help them reach their full potential.

In primary schools: Academic Mentors will support with: literacy, numeracy and science.

In secondary schools: English, numeracy, science, humanities and modern foreign languages.

**Your required qualifications**:

- Or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Must have Level 4 (Grade C) or above in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications

**Your responsibilities of the role**:

- Working with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the school to identify the support each pupil needs
- Identify learning gaps and and help create bespoke intervention programmes for pupils
- Developing and delivering engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles with clear learning objectives, considering any barriers to learning or additional needs
- Delivering measurable outcomes from each session to track progress
