Café Assistant

**Brockenhurst College** are looking for two friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join the existing team as **Café Assistant’s** working in the **Hard Brock Café (HBC) at Brockenhurst College** and in the canteen at the **College’s Construction & Marine Technologies Training Centre in Marchwood**.You will assist in the provision of a high quality and value for money catering service to our College students across both sites. In return, you will receive a competitivesalary of **£18,695 pro rata**.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

**The Café Assistant Role**

Brockenhurst College will appoint 2x new General Assistants who will work independently of each other but share responsibility for the catering provision at the Marchwood Construction & Marine Technologies Training Centre.

The 2x post-holders will form a dedicated catering team for the Marchwood site and the alternate week working pattern could be temporarily suspended in the event of staff sickness/absence, etc. with the remaining post-holder providing service at the Marchwoodsite until the alternate returns to work.

**Experience needed as our Café Assistant**

Formal catering experience is not necessary, only a willingness to help maintain our excellent provision.You will be required to prepare food (basic cooking duties on alternate weeks whilst lone working at Marchwood), serve our customers, handle moneyand perform general cleaning duties across 2x sites on alternate weeks (NB: weeks worked in the Marchwood canteen will be in a lone-working capacity).
