**Technical Support Engineer**
(Portsmouth Naval Base & Southeast England)

Job Location: Portsmouth, Hants (within 45 mins commuter distance).
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 07:30 pm - 16:30pm

**Salary**: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum + KPI incentive bonus (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Benefits: 20 days plus Bank Holidays per annum increasing to 25 days on completion of two years service; Pension Scheme - Auto-Enrolment; Healthcare, (Available after completion of Probationary Period), EAP Line, Development Support, Free Friday Lunch.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Technical Engineer to help manage our operations at BAE (Portsmouth Naval Base). This will be for approx. 75% of your time. RVT Group provide BAE with specialist support in their health and safety processes around the areas of temporary LEV on the ships and various other activities. You will be required to ensure all operational activities are carried out in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner; support the management of 3rd part party suppliers; manage/oversee LEV and other engineering installations on ships and across the Base. When not at Portsmouth Naval Base, you will be required to assist the RVT General installs team assisting in installations (including but not limited to temporary ventilation, heating, environmental monitoring etc.,) across Southeast England. Training will be provided. A company van will be provided for work use.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist on installations work across the full RVT product range.
Manage a small team of engineers.
Carry out site surveys on all types of ships (written).
Attend pre-install project meetings.
Maintain best practice Health and Safety across operations.
Review RAMS
Write up/manage LEV reports.
Generate reports for management as required.
Admin tasks as directed.
**Experience and Skills Required**:
3 years (min) technical engineering experience.
Naval or shipyards experience desirable.
Good understanding of current Health & Safety regulations.
Knowledge of temporary ventilation systems beneficial.
Electrical Qualification very desirable.
Good IT and communication skills (verbal & written)
Good interpersonal skills.
Clear DBS check, essential.
Full driving licence, essential.
