We have opportunities available for Research and Report Officers to join the Domestic Abuse Team where you will be responsible for responding to requests from Partner agencies for Police information and compiling reports for multi-agency agency safeguarding meetings across the Force area and for Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) requests.

**A little bit about us**

The Domestic Abuse Team provide a single point of contact for safeguarding concerns relating to Domestic Abuse across York and North Yorkshire. The work of the team is critical in the multiagency response to protect adults and children and from abuse.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Providing a full range of administrative support to the Domestic Abuse Team this will include handling highly confidential, personal and sensitive information in accordance with legal requirements and local protocols.
- Creating and managing incidents for all reports created within the unit so these are accessible on the local police system force wide for all users. Linking all nominals and addresses accurately on Niche.
- Compiling information from Police databases for reports for the purpose of disclosure under the DVDS procedure.
- Researching and report writing for Domestic Abuse officers to present at Multi agency risk assessment (MARAC) meetings.
- Researching current and historical Police databases to critically assess the risk the information indicates.
- Sharing information with Partnership agencies in line with Management of Police Information (MOPI) guidelines, Data Protection principles and local information Sharing Agreements.
- Liaising with various external agencies for Police information and meeting requests.

The nature of the work is very sensitive and attention to detail is vital in all areas. As such, previous experience of working in an administrative role within a sensitive and confidential environment would be desirable.
- Be committed to delivering a high level of service with the ability to work as part of a team as well as under their own initiative.
- Manage their time effectively to meet specific deadlines, whilst always maintaining accuracy and quality of data.
- Be able to collate, review and disseminate information from a range of sources.
- Have a passion for communicating with a range of diverse customers across a variety of platforms and enjoy building and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Be talented in using various IT systems including Microsoft Office.
- Be adaptable and resourceful with a keen eye for detail.
