Flight Handler

**Job Purpose**
The Flight Handler will take full responsibility for ensuring all airline meals and in-flight products are dispatched to airlines on time according to the agreed service level standards.
**Salary**: £15.89 PH
**Location**: London Heathrow
**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
1. Plan, coordinate daily workloads before the start of each shift and work with internal colleagues to meet daily deadlines.
2. Ensure all in-flight meals, special meals and products are assembled according to client flight specifications.
3. Place security seals on all storage trolleys ready for dispatch.
4. Deliver all items to aircraft and confirm menu briefing with crew to ensure flight is fully catered.
5. Ensure suite dressers dress cabins according to client’s specifications.
6. Responsible to make sure required airline standards are met regarding packing plans. (Full training and supporting documents will be given)
7. Effectively load airline food and catering supplies inside delivery trucks and at the Aircraft.
8. Utilise effective communications to minimise delays and resolve problems.
9. Multitask and work under pressure.
10. Lift and/or push approximately 50lbs.
11. Assist with other duties within various departments as and when required.
12. Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
13. Adhere to inflight services security compliance.
14. Adhere to clean as you go standard.
15. Interact with, colleagues, customers and clients in a professional manner at all times.
16. Comply with all unit Corporate, Social, Responsibility initiatives.
17. Any other duties as requested by your manager.
- Minimum 1 years’ airline industry, experience (desirable).
- An ability to work well under pressure and part of a team.
- Self-motivation, commitment, enthusiasm, the ability to work calmly under pressure and on your own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a customer centred approach to service delivery.
- Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, requirements and any other training as specified by your manager.
- Proven problem-solving skills, efficiency and organisational skills.
- Any other duties as requested by the line manager.
- The ability to be an effective ambassador for the organisation at all times and whilst wearing uniform off duty.
- Fork lift driving duties. (If applicable)
- In date CPC & Driving License is a must.
