The College performing arts and media departments have a teaching facility that contains a 188-seat theatre, live music recording studio, dance studio and rehearsal rooms, TV studio together with comprehensive media and video editing suites.

We are seeking to appoint a Theatre Technician (casual) who (along with our existing Media and Performing Arts Technician) can take responsibility for the theatre and performance spaces. Our Lighting desk is an ETC element and Digital desk is Midas M32R.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities**:

- First and second line support for staff and student enquiries by logging, resolving and escalating IT support issues
- Support all IT equipment within the college including peripherals such as AV devices, printers, telephony, door access and CCTV
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Use the college service desk to record issues and solutions
- Use of Active Directory for account management
- Provide IT support for college events including events out of usual college hours
- Logging, tracking and inventory of IT Assets and licenses
- Write and maintain system documentation
- Package software for deployment
- To prioritise tasks appropriately in the absence of any other instructions from line management
- To undertake any other duties the Principal or designated alternate may reasonably direct from time to time within the context of the Loreto College contract
- Assist in other areas of the IT network as required: monitor/maintain web filtering & security devices, procure equipment
- Physical installation and patching of IT equipment, e.g. swapping desktop computers, provision of laptops
- To liaise with external support providers to resolve issues as required
- To ensure familiarity with the Cross-College IT (CCIT) team's aims and objectives
Staffing
- To complete new staff induction activities as directed by the Learning & Development Manager and other College leaders.
Deployment of Staff
- To ensure that appropriate arrangements are made when absent, informing HR and reception and working with the line manager.
- All CCIT employees have a specific and explicit duty to inform the Senior Management if they are or become concerned that poor or inappropriate practice or procedures threaten the safety or integrity of all or any part of the IT service, software, hardware or data
Quality Assurance
- To ensure the effective operation of quality assurance systems communications.
- To liaise with relevant external bodies as appropriate
Marketing and Liaison
- To contribute to the College liaison and marketing activities
- To link with external agencies as appropriate.
Management of Resources
- To contribute to the College liaison and marketing activities.

- To contribute to the maintenance of an attractive working environment in the IT areas and any other rooms used.
**Person Specification**:
Experience (Desirable):

- Over 2 years' experience of providing desktop, server and network support & development in a working environment
- Experience of working in an educational establishment
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience of supporting all core desktop and server technologies used at Loreto College in a working environment. Including: Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 (and newer), Exchange 2016, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Microsoft 365 technologies - Intune, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive etc
- High level of literacy/communication skills, capable of independently producing documentation written to a high, professional standard
- Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Qualifications:

- Possession of one or more relevant IT qualifications (Desirable)A relevant degree level qualification or equivalent experience (Desirable)
