The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges, and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.

We are looking for a Learning Technologist to work within our Qualifications Development Directorate in the SQA Academy team.
- Support the design, creation, delivery, and maintenance of digital assessment and learning materials to ensure they meet SQA’s business needs
- Provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and support, in the use of digital assessment and learning services, to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide creative solutions when developing digital assessment and learning materials and provide guidance and advice to internal and external stakeholders on any issues arising.
- Advise on and assist with the introduction of digital assessment and learning services to internal and external stakeholders through workshops, meetings and/or collaborative project work.

Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Be able to communicate clearly, including on technical aspects of work, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively line manage staff to help them reach their full potential.

As a minimum you should be educated to SCQF Level 7 (Advanced Higher/HNC) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role. Previous experience with digital assessment services in the education or training sector would be advantageous. You will be expected to role model the behaviours associated with SQA’s values (Trusted, Progressive, and Enabling) to develop and sustain a productive and positive culture.
