We are looking to appoint several experienced Teaching Assistants, with a proven track record to support children who have some social and emotional behavioural needs, speech and language difficulties and some social communication needs across the school.

The role will require you to work closely with the SENCO and class teachers, supporting pupils in either 1:1 situations or small groups both in and outside the classroom. Experience in supporting children with regulation difficulties would be an advantage.

You will need to be kind, patient and experienced at creating positive relationships. The ability to be flexible and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage learners is also desirable.

The successful applicants will have an NVQ Level 3 in the field of Teaching and Learning, or equivalent and will be able to demonstrate a suitable level of English and maths skills, equivalent to GCSE standard, which will be assessed at interview.

The role will be varied and you could also be deployed to support children in class, small groups and on an individual basis, depending on pupil need. You will also be required to provide some support at lunchtimes.
